Box packing machines with flat blanks

MPF/20/35/55

Machines made with a sturdy portal frame split into modules. Can be equipped with 3-axis delta/polar humanoid robots to manage the main processing phases – shaping, product insertion in packaging and upper closure.

The features on these machines make them particularly flexible and offer multiple processing arrangements to meet production requirements in terms of speed. It is therefore possible to change from processing with a machine performing shaping, product insertion in packaging and upper closures individually, to a double/triple/quadruple setup.

  • Max. box dimensions 220 x 180 x h150 mm.
  • Min. box dimensions 60 x 60 x h150 mm.
  • Maximum speed 55 boxes/minute

Machine with solid structure, equipped with vertical box transfer carousel with suction cups to keep boxes open during transfer to subsequent stations.

An arm collects boxes from the storage area via a double suction cup, and a vacuum is generated using the Venturi technique to open boxes in an upright position and deposit them against suction cups on the box conveyor. A bar supports the base of the boxes till they reach the closing station.

  • Max. box dimensions 300 x 200 x h280 mm.
  • Min. box dimensions 100 x 50 x h100 mm.
  • Maximum speed 30 boxes/minute.

Wrap-around vertical case packer

MP-W15

Machine with solid crank arm structure and transfer/motorised parts situated at top of crank arm. Can be equipped with 3-axis delta/polar humanoid robots for product handling.

These machines have arms with double suction cups to collect open blanks from storage areas. Blanks are transferred to a carriage to be formed into a U shape (product insertion area). The transfer device consists of a moving carriage with alternating motion.

  • Max. box dimensions 500 x 360 x h360 mm.
  • Min. box dimensions 180 x 100 x h80 mm.
  • Maximum speed 15 boxes/minute.

Horizontal box packing machines for large formats

B20

Machine with solid crank arm structure and box transfer and closure features in a cantilever construction with respect to the crank arm, which contains motorised parts.

Transfer device consists of a gripper moving with a stepped action via controlled-axis operation. The product is pushed sideways into a mobile hopper which is inserted in the box. The pushing device holds the product in the box while the hopper retracts.

  • Max. box dimensions 250 x 160 x h350 mm.
  • Min. box dimensions 140 x 80 x h120 mm.
  • Maximum speed 20 boxes/minute.

Case packing line with high-speed robots

Case packing line with high-speed robots with/without viewing option

Our highly technological solutions combined with easy-to-use features enable the use of automatic format change and viewing systems, making the machinery especially user-friendly and extremely efficient. Modular lines have been created with special product processing technology.

The use of high-speed Flexpicker robots enables fragile products to be handled individually and efficiently. The modules used for processing operations, which range from shaping open blank/prebonded packs through to loading, closing and/or attaching lids, are established and standardised for extremely reliable repetition in accordance with customer requirements.

Integrated case packing and palletising systems

Sturdy wrap-around case packing module based on our vertical MP-W15 case packer, which uses a humanoid robot to insert items into boxes, close them and proceed with the palletising process. This machine is designed to fully exploit the potential of standard humanoid robots and provide a convenient compact solution, and is basically two machines in one.

  • Max. box dimensions 400 x 300 x h360 mm.
  • Min. box dimensions 150 x 120 x h80 mm.
  • Maximum speed 6 boxes/minute.

Just one humanoid robot to process boxes (collected from the magazine and assembled) and insert the products inside them. After the boxes are closed with tape using the closure modules on our vertical case packers (MP-V10 or MP-V15), the robot proceeds with the palletising process. This machine is designed to fully exploit the potential of standard humanoid robots and provide a convenient compact solution, basically consisting of two machines in one.

  • Max. box dimensions 600 x 400 x h460 mm.
  • Min. box dimensions 200 x 130 x h150 mm.
  • Maximum speed 4 boxes/minute.

Palletising/depalletising systems

Systems with one or more stations collecting production from several different lines.

Production collection preparation unit which is useful for creating the required pallet layouts and managing entry rate, decreasing the number of robot cycles used.

Product grip heads to ensure accuracy and product integrity at the required speeds.  Operation with 4/5/6-axis robots for highly accurate positioning on pallets. Dedicated centring/guide systems to handle box or demi-box pallets.

Systems to supply empty pallets to ensure prolonged self-management without operator intervention. Integration in pallet wrapping lines.

Handling robots

The use of several robots on the market, be they humanoid robots or delta/flex pickers (Kawasaki, ABB, Stäubli etc.), alongside our own solutions, such as 3-axis polar robots or 2-axis linear robots, not to mention ongoing research into the most suitable grip systems for products to be handled, has enabled us to create the most diverse handling techniques for a wide range of machining operations and operating speeds.

Our highly technological solutions combined with easy-to-use features enable the use of automatic format change and viewing systems, making handling operations especially user-friendly and extremely efficient. This type of machinery is also created with modular lines with special product processing technology.
